LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… The Office is back! I’m so excited about this. you have no idea.first off, I would like to say that after months and months of waiting for the new series to premiere, the writers and producers and directors and actors and crew of The Office did not let me down. thank you to everyone who has helped make this new series possible. the joy you bring to me in particular, was much anticipated and greater than expected.ok… the show. let me say that Michael hitting Meredith with his car might have been the funniest thing I have seen all year. now, normally I would not laugh out loud at such an instance, but for one it was so unexpected. it came out of no where. two, you don’t see people getting hit by cars all that often - even in Atlanta - so one really doesn’t know how they will respond until said incident occurs.I am very happy for Jim and Pam - or “PB&J” as Kevin referred to them. I know they are just characters on a television show, but the characters seem very happy. Not all that sad to see Karen leave. she just got annoying towards the end. Ryan has a new look but he’ll always be “the temp” to me.now, onto the disappointing part. for those of you that don’t know, NBC has decided to stop allowing consumers to purchase their television shows on iTunes. very lame in my opinion. NBC wanted Apple to charge $4.99 for their TV shows on iTunes (which personally, I would have had a hard time dealing with but probably would have paid it anyway, just to get “The Office”) but Apple wouldn’t budge. They held strong to their standard of $1.99 for TV shows and NBC decided to pull the plug on iTunes. however, now you can purchase NBC shows on Amazon through Amazon’s Unbox service. the shows are $1.89 through Amazon - ten cents cheaper than iTunes (like that ten cents is really going to make me switch to Amazon to purchase my TV shows… yeah, right) however, you must view the shows through Amazon’s proprietary player on your computer. and no transferring to DVD or your iPod. it looks like I’ll have to wait for season 4 to come out on DVD to put the episodes on my iPod. dumb.very big “BOOOOOO” to NBC.and a big “I-know-it’s-not-your-fault” to Apple.I give it until the end of this season of “The Office” for NBC to realize how much profits they are losing and put their stuff back on iTunes for $1.99.Michael: You have one day.Pam: One day for what?Michael: tha…they always give an ultimatum.
all is right with the world… almost
