ok, time for a little bit of honesty. honestly, i haven’t felt like blogging a whole lot recently. but the strange thing is, there has been a lot to blog about. i could blog about how UGA beat Florida last Saturday. that’s always fun. not really much to blog about Miami since we had a bye week last week. but Miami was an answer to one of the trivia questions at Barnacles last night - we lost by the way. ugh. we were in first by 5 points going into the final question (In AFI’s List of the Top 100 Movies of All Time, name one of the two actors that have appeared in the most number of movies on the list (5) - answer: Robert De Niro and James Stewart). ugh - next week, we’re changing our name to “always blows it on the last question” because we do. anyway, the Miami question, for all of you that were wondering, “Name the only collegiate football team to have won a National Championship in each of the last three decades - the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s.” the answer of course, is the U. for those of you that need to have all the necessary information, the National Titles were won in 1983, 1987, 1989, 1991, and 2001. just so we’re all on the same page.

i could blog about the Boston Red Sox beating the Rockies in 4 straight for their first sweep of the World Series since they swept the World Series in 2004. but that’s old news.

i could blog about going to Kell High School friday night and watching them notch their first win this season with Georgia Tech Running Back Jonathan Dwyer on the sidelines for Homecoming. i could also blog in the same paragraph about my friend Sarah missing her Senior Homecoming at Kell to stay home and watch the World Series. oh, and then finding out that she turned down two guys to Homecoming to stay home and watch said baseball game. and then swapping text messages with her as the game was winding down only to realize that she was unable to stay up and watch the final outs of the game because she was too tired. those poor guys…

i could blog about Freedom Church again, but there will be many more posts about us in the near future so i’ll wait on those.

i could blog about my friend Teresa who is coming home from college this weekend to go to Tuscaloosa to watch the Alabama game, yet she didn’t even know who they were playing until i told her (#3 LSU). girls.

i could blog about this. but i’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves. thanks, Los for giving me nightmares.

i could blog about a lot of things. but i just don’t feel like it.

yay!!

ok, so we decided to go another route tonight and let someone else play bass. you know, give someone else a chance. ’cause we’ll “give anyone a shot once”, right Carrie? (still waiting on my phone call, by the way…) so, I will not be playing bass tonight at th[e]xperience. but you should come anyway. it’s going to be great. and you won’t have to worry about me messing up the worship. that’s on some other kid now.

ready for this? tomorrow night, thursday October 25, live at th[e]xperience, i, eric crosby, will make his long-awaited return to the stage (ok, probably not long-awaited… probably not even awaited at all) as the special guest bassist for th[e]xperience band. oh, yeah… it’s true. here’s the skinny…

so my pops and i were sitting at Oyster Cafe tonight eating dinner (like we’d be anywhere else) when i got the call from Blake Goss, formerly of Thief on the Right, and current worship leader for th[e]xperience and Freedom Church (how’s that for a plug?) and he told me that our regular bassist, Joey, couldn’t be at th[e]xperience tomorrow night. so, he asked if i could play bass. so, i’m going back to my roots and playing the bass. i originally started learning to play notes and music on a bass guitar so it’s always fun to go back to the basics. i’m really excited about playing. like for real. i just don’t know what we’re playing yet. hmm…

so, for the 12 of you that actually read my blog (first off, thanks!) come out to Lost Mountain Baptist Church tomorrow night and listen to some good worship music - hopefully not ruined by me on the bass. th[e]xperience starts at 7:00pm upstairs in “the Loft”.

hope to see you there!
