is this thing on?

sorry for the late post today. lots of stuff going on at the office and not a lot of downtime today. bummer. anyway…

friday night – Callie and i went to O’Charley’s and met someone with the most unique name i think i’ve ever met. her name was ‘Ondrea’. i thought when she first told us her name, she just said a different pronunciation of the name ‘Andrea’, but then when i got the check, her name was spelled ‘Ondrea’. i thought that was pretty cool. i gave her a couple of FreedomChurch cards and she said she might come and check it out. very cool.

saturday – had to cut the stinkin grass. not my favorite. although necessary. anyway, i started cutting the front lawn and it started raining a little bit but not enough to cause me to stop so i kept going until i finished the front and the belt slipped off the lawn mower. i couldn’t figure out how to properly put the belt back on, so i quit.

saturday night – ugh. Miami freakin lost to UGA at the College World Series. right now, UM and FSU are playing in an elimination game and Miami is up 4-1 still in the top of the 4th (Miami is home team). if they don’t pull this one out, they are out of the CWS and i will be upset. and to top it off, after i had cooled off a little, JR brought it up in his message on Sunday! he and i will have a talk later about this.

sunday – rockin Father’s Day at FreedomChurch!! we had 5 classic cars out for show. we had games in the lobby. we had cokes and waters for the dads on their way into service. we had root beer floats after the service. it was awesome!

Callie and i went up to Canton and had Father’s Day lunch with her family and my dad came too. first time for my parents to meet her parents. kind of interesting. everybody got along great and my dad talked and stayed longer than i thought he would.

watched a little bit of golf yesterday but apparently, i missed the best part. Callie and i left her house around 6:30 and didn’t see anymore after that. thank God for SportsCenter!
